dLive CDM64

This Allen & Heath dLive CDM64 MixRack is the source of life of any dLive system. Inside it contains the XCVI processing core all equip with control, audio I/O and audio networking ports. The Mixrack usually connected to a dLive Surface, by using laptop or iPad it can also be controlled at the same time as or even without a Surface, and via TCP/IP Allen & Heath third party controllers or IP remotes.

dLive MixRack are available in different sizes. All have a distinctive attribute as the same mix engine and can process with the full 128 channels by adding digital sources or DX expanders.

XCVI Core

Crafted and designed by the Allen & Heath R&D team using next generation FPGA technology - the XCVI Core is where the power of dLive emits - along with 36 parallel virtual processing cores producing power enough for 160x64 channels of processing at 96kHz sampling rate. The FPGA router has capacity for 3000 x 3000 audio paths, while six parallel mixing engines inside the core calculateover 10000 cross points per sample. The extraordinary power of XCVI (25 billion operations per second) which makes the dLive to produce 16 stereo FX returns and 128 full processing inputs, a mappable 64 bus architecture, for ultimate precision and noise performance is the variable bit depth, thanks to a 96bit accumulator that makes a virtually infinite mix headroom possible, and class leading latency at an ultra-low 0.7ms.

DEEP Processing

Directly within dLive's mix channles and dLive's input is our DEEP processing architecture which is installed with class-leading compressors and processing emulations directly inside dLive's mix channels and input. Graphic EQs, a 64 channel Automatic Mic Mixer(AMM) and Compressors, these array of bespoke algorithms, can be installed on the fly without burning FX slows and without the latency, setup and licence hassle alongside with external plug-ins - so whenever you need them and wherever you need them, they're right there. Non-linear ballistics of industry classics, various RMS detection, audio nuance, ranging from a Slow-Opto model and  RMS based compression/limiting devices, soft knee circuits and through to super-fast peak is what the compressor models captures.

RackExtra FX

The RackExtra FX portfolio combines the pristine quality and wide choice offered by boutique plug-ins with the convenience and low latency of onboard processing. It’s no secret that we have a passion bordering on obsession for crafting painstakingly faithful emulations of the most revered analogue outboard equipment. Drawing on the power of the XCVI Core, we have built hugely potent DSP kernels within the FPGA, allowing us to integrate our proven library of reverb, delay and modulator algorithms into dLive, with 16 FX slots available, each with a dedicated stereo return.

Automatic Mic Mixer (AMM)

AMM provides automatic level control of up to 64 microphones for spoken word applications such as conferences, panel shows, discussion forums and government / council meetings.

As well as reducing the risk of feedback, legibility is enhanced by minimising phase interference between channels, a common problem in multi-microphone spoken word applications.

Up to 4 zones can be enabled allowing automatic control of multiple rooms simultaneously from one interface.

Two modes of operation, NOM & D-Classic, are included:

D-Classic utilises dynamic gain sharing and is quick and easy to set-up.
NOM (Number of Open Microphones) builds on the logic based automatic mixing algorithm of our iDR install range offering additional parameters and maximum flexibility to the operator.
