Great Sound, Flexibility and Ease of Use

Lab Gruppen's ingenious LUCIA (Localized Utility Compact Intelligent Amplification) revolutionizes AV system design by delivering unparalleled audio performance and remarkable adaptability. It strategically situates power, processing, control, and I/O precisely where needed, transforming the approach to decentralized setups. In numerous AV applications craving consistent top-tier performance, LUCIA emerges as the logical, cost-effective, and scalable solution. Its decentralized approach often bypasses the complexities and additional costs linked to centralized equipment rooms, simplifying AV setups. LUCIA amplifiers fuse a digital, firmware-driven front end with Lab Gruppen's sturdy, highly efficient output stage, positioning it as the epitome of excellence in compact amplification. This fusion of superior sound and unwavering reliability establishes LUCIA as the pinnacle of its category, setting new standards in compact amplifier performance and dependability.

Fits in Anywhere

The LUCIA 240/2M isn't just a design—it's an engineering marvel crafted for swift installation and effortless setup. Its discreet wall-mount bracket discreetly hides it behind video displays, yet its ultra-compact design ensures seamless placement almost anywhere. Whether nestled beside a projector or seamlessly integrated into reception counters, podiums, lecterns, or the inviting atmosphere of a bar area, its adaptability knows no bounds. Every connection point, meticulously designed with Euroblock screw terminals and parallel unbalanced RCA connectors, ensures seamless integration. Fine-tuning becomes an art with front-panel potentiometers for effortless level adjustments. The amplifier's advanced circuitry acts as a fortress, shielding both the amplifier and connected loudspeakers from potential damage due to clipping, thermal overload, or extreme low line voltage, ensuring an uninterrupted audio experience.

Integrated Mix-Matrix and DSP Front End

Within the core of the LUCIA 240/2M resides a digital front end boasting a 4 x 4 Mix Matrix and an extensive array of DSP capabilities. Among these treasures are the coveted Automatic Dynamic Loudness Contouring (ADLCTM) and a rich selection of EQ filters positioned before and after the matrix. These remarkable attributes eliminate the necessity for external mixers and processors in numerous applications, not just saving valuable time but also reducing expenses. To streamline the setup process, a software wizard stands at the ready, while an advanced editor empowers offline configuration of common presets. These customized configurations can swiftly traverse multiple units via USB, facilitating unparalleled efficiency and ease in management while ensuring a tailored audio experience.

Green Credentials

LUCIA amplifiers proudly bear the ENERGY STAR qualification, marking them as the optimal selection for projects aiming for energy-efficient certifications. These amplifiers seamlessly transition into standby mode, consuming less than 1 watt of power after 20 minutes without a signal input, showcasing their commitment to energy conservation. Their responsiveness shines through as they swiftly power up within two seconds upon detecting an incoming signal, ensuring both energy efficiency and immediate readiness when the audio signal calls. This blend of energy-saving features and quick responsiveness positions LUCIA amplifiers as ideal choices for environmentally conscious installations without compromising performance.

ENERGY STAR Qualified

Our Energy Star-qualified products achieve impeccable Lab Gruppen sonic performance and robust power output by maintaining exceptionally low current draw during operational cycles, even at high output levels. Additionally, they reduce power consumption significantly during non-operational cycles. This dual strategy ensures that our products not only meet but surpass the stringent efficiency benchmarks set by the current Energy Star certification standards. This careful balance between maintaining high-quality sonic performance and minimizing energy consumption showcases our commitment to delivering top-tier audio experiences while adhering to rigorous efficiency guidelines.

ADLC for Great Sound, Everytime.

Automatic Dynamic Loudness Contouring ensures a fuller and more comfortable listening experience – especially at low perceived levels. Based on industry-leading technology from TC Electronic, ADLC ensures that LUCIA delivers optimum reproduction of the source signal regardless of output gain (or “volume”).

Auto Load Sense

Lab Gruppen's pioneering Auto Load Sense technology within the LUCIA amplifier is a game-changer. It intelligently identifies the impedance load on each channel, automatically configuring the output stage to ensure optimal performance. This adaptive capability allows the amplifier to deliver maximum power output across a spectrum of loads, ranging from 2 to 8 ohms. In practical terms, this means that a single LUCIA amplifier can efficiently drive up to 16 loudspeakers, particularly if they are 16-ohm devices, accommodating 8 speakers per channel. This technological innovation redefines the possibilities of amplification, offering unparalleled flexibility and efficiency in managing sound systems.

Third Party Control

Once installed the LUCIA can be controlled and monitored either via GPIO or more extensively using the RS232 interface that is included. The protocol used is open and free for anyone to implement. The list of companies supporting it is growing.

Low Impedance Amplification

There are many advantages to Lo-Z audio systems compared to constant voltage ‘distributed systems’. LUCIA harnesses all of these to give you the best-sounding solution in the most cost-efficient package: Better sound, improved LF performance, saving cost on loudspeakers without transformers, and no need for long cable runs or conduit.
