The Yamaha XMS Series brings intelligent power management and onboard DSP to installed audio systems, giving system designers greater flexibility without unnecessary complexity. With eight models covering analogue and Dante inputs, four-channel and eight-channel configurations, and multiple output power options, the series provides a range of configurations for building an installed audio system around specific project requirements. A major advantage of the XMS Series is its intelligent power sharing across groups of four output channels. Rather than requiring fixed power allocation for every channel, available resources are intelligently distributed within each four-channel group. ProVisionaire Design can automate the configuration based on the selected Yamaha speakers, eliminating manual power calculations and allocating available output to each channel according to the system configuration.

The integrated routing function adds even more flexibility by allowing a single audio source to be distributed across multiple zones within each four-channel group without additional hardware. This helps simplify multi-zone system designs while making better use of the amplifier's available resources.

Yamaha speaker presets provide more than basic EQ adjustment. Each preset incorporates optimised limiter settings designed around the selected Yamaha speakers, helping balance sonic performance and long-term speaker protection. This gives system designers speaker-specific settings while reducing the need to manually configure limiter parameters. ProVisionaire Design provides detailed parameter control across the XMS Series, supporting a coherent and scalable CIS system design. This makes it possible to configure and manage different XMS models within a broader installed audio system while maintaining a consistent design environment.

On-site commissioning is also streamlined through the full-colour front-panel LCD. Installation personnel can view system status and key parameters directly from the amplifier, without requiring a laptop. When attention is required, the system displays an alert together with a QR code linking to corrective guidance, giving installers direct access to relevant troubleshooting information and helping reduce the time needed to identify and resolve issues. From intelligent power sharing and flexible routing to onboard DSP, Yamaha speaker presets, comprehensive software control, and practical front-panel commissioning, the XMS Series is designed to provide a flexible and scalable approach to installed audio system design and management.
