The Yamaha XMS Series brings intelligent power management, onboard DSP, and flexible system configuration to installed audio systems, giving integrators more control without adding unnecessary complexity. With eight models covering analogue and Dante inputs, four-channel and eight-channel configurations, and multiple output power options, the XMS Series gives you the flexibility to build a system around the requirements of the installation rather than forcing the installation to fit a fixed amplifier configuration. A key advantage of the XMS Series is its power sharing across groups of four output channels. Instead of treating every amplifier channel as an isolated resource, available power is intelligently distributed across each four-channel group. Using ProVisionaire Design software, the system can automatically configure power allocation based on the selected Yamaha speakers, reducing the need for manual power calculations and helping allocate the available output appropriately to each channel.

The built-in routing function adds further flexibility by allowing a single audio source to be distributed across multiple zones within each four-channel group without requiring additional hardware. This makes it easier to manage multi-zone installations while keeping the system configuration streamlined. The XMS Series also incorporates Yamaha speaker presets that go beyond basic EQ settings. Each preset includes optimised limiter settings designed to balance sonic performance with long-term speaker protection. This helps maintain the intended system performance while providing limiter settings specifically matched to the selected Yamaha speakers. For larger or more detailed installations, ProVisionaire Design provides comprehensive configuration and parameter control across the XMS lineup. This supports a coherent and scalable CIS system design, giving installers a consistent environment for configuring the amplifier and associated system parameters.

On-site commissioning is made more practical through the full-colour front-panel LCD, which provides system status and key parameters directly at the amplifier. Installation personnel can check important information without requiring a laptop. When the system identifies an issue that needs attention, an alert can be displayed together with a QR code linking directly to corrective guidance, helping installers quickly access relevant troubleshooting information and reduce time spent diagnosing problems. From intelligent power allocation and flexible routing to onboard DSP, speaker-specific presets, comprehensive software control, and front-panel commissioning tools, the Yamaha XMS Series is designed to simplify the management of installed audio systems while providing the flexibility needed for a wide.
