The Lectrosonics DSSM is an enhanced, fully digital successor to the SSM transmitter, combining an exceptionally compact design with IP57-rated environmental protection and convenient dock charging capability. It is designed for demanding professional applications where discreet placement, reliable performance, and resistance to water and dust are essential. With its IP57 rating, the DSSM is protected against dust ingress and can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter for more than 30 minutes. Despite its sealed, rugged design, the transmitter still allows for quick and convenient battery replacement. The DSSM is well suited for theater, television, film, and broadcast applications, particularly when a transmitter must be concealed or exposed to challenging environmental conditions. Its compact housing delivers a comprehensive feature set while remaining compatible with current Lectrosonics digital receivers, including the DSQD, DCR822, DSR, DSR4, M2Ra, and DCHR. High-efficiency digital circuitry helps extend operating time when powered by the rechargeable LB-50 battery. The transmitter offers selectable RF output power of 10 or 35 mW in D2 compatibility mode, along with a specialized HDM high-density mode at 4 mW for operation in systems requiring tighter frequency spacing.
