The RCF RDNET8, also known as Control 8, is a professionally designed real-time monitor and control system that is capable of managing up to 256 devices linked in a bus or up to 128 devices in a ring topology. All the data collected from the slaves are made delivered to the sound engineer by USB designed in a local installation or by Ethernet from remote locations. The interface is possible to be directly connected to the DSP on board of every TT+ line array module through the exclusive RDNet protocol that makes this device to be possible of addressing in single cabinets or groups, specific presets or modification parameters in real-time. The key point of RDNet Control 8, in fact, is for ensuring the minimum refresh time (at least 5 per second) of all the system data performance, for example: RMS signals, temperature, compressor activity, warnings, fans speed, etc. Data transfer is possible to be routed also through the provided xlr connectors are enabling the control of the system on traditional multi-cored cables.

RDNet is a professionally designed robust management network and control platform designed for use in small, medium and large arena-sized sound systems, as well as complex and extended installations. Based on a proprietary network protocol, RDNet is capable of providing an intuitive control and monitoring of every connected device/object in the RCF audio system. Each device comes with DSP capable of addressing the specific presets or modifications of parameters to single or groups of objects. A network user is possible to change the level, delay, EQ (linear phase FiR as well) and other settings, that includes the advanced subwoofer configurations. RDNet is not only designed for loudspeakers—you are made capable to control parameters and routing of multiple RCF devices, such as digital matrixes or amplifiers.

AUTOSCAN
When online, the RDNet Control 8 unit sequentially scans all audio devices (10 scans per second), automatically labelling them with digital addresses. The loudspeaker objects are immediately added to the software synoptic as an object intended for each speaker (or any other audio device) found on the network.
