Compared to the MixPre-10, the MixPre-10 II has numerous improvements. The capacity to record at 32-bit floating point to an internal SD card is the most important of these features. Additionally, the device can be used as an audio interface that streams 32-bit floating-point audio to a Mac computer via USB. You can almost never clip (distort) audio on the way in because of this. The unit's remarkable 142 dB dynamic range can be utilized for recording at high volumes, and the only limitation will be the caliber of your microphone. The device has the same Kashmir preamps as the MixPre-10T, but it differs significantly in that its noise floor is substantially lower—130 dBV. You can simultaneously monitor through headphones and on a line-level device that is compatible thanks to the line-level XLR and 3.5mm outputs. BNC, HDMI, and 3.5mm connectors provide timecode connections. It is all available in an eight-channel kit that runs on Sony L-series batteries, AA batteries, or wall chargers. The MixPre-10 II is a versatile tool that may be used in both basic and complex applications for any small-scale, field-based production.
