It captures the essence of the flagship Scorpio in a more manageable and cost-effective form. At almost any input level, distortion and excessive noise may be avoided with 32-bit A/D converters. Record up to 16 tracks of external sources plus four busses at up to 192 kHz using the internal 256GB SSD and up to two SD cards. Route unique mixes to the crew and camera while using headphones and a headset. In addition to the large channel knobs, channel trims, PFL switches, and transport joystick, the 888's handles and integrated 1/4"-20 threads allow it to be carried in a sound bag, mounted on a camera or tripod, or even slung from a shoulder or neck strap. A sunlight-readable color touchscreen also guarantees easy access to all settings. The 888 is designed with eight ultralow-noise, high-gain mic/line preamps, 16 channels of Dugan Automixing, strong routing, and sophisticated sonic processing to deliver optimal audio performance and workflow efficiency. Accurate timecode synchronization and numerous powering options make the 888 adept at handling the varied demands of modern productions. For enhanced operating convenience, you can control the 888 wirelessly from the SD-Remote Android app, a Sound Devices CL-12 controller, or a compatible USB-connected MIDI controller.
