Six-Channel Passive Direct Box

The Radial JD6 is a high performance six-channel rackmount direct box that is professionally designed to use even in the most demanding live touring and studio applications.

The Radial JD6 is a multi-channel passive direct box specifically designed for addressing the needs of concert touring and being equally at home in the studio at the same time. The Radial JD6 contained six completely independent transformer isolated channels intended for minimal cross-talk and maximum protection against noise, 60 cycle buzz and hum or hum caused by ground loops. The Radial JD6 utilizes the finest Jensen® audio transformers for absolute performance and delivering the character and warmth at the same time that has made Radial the world’s most revered direct box producer. The Radial JD6 is equipped with the same audio circuit as the renowned Radial JDI for explosive signal handling, a truly linear response and virtually zero phase distortion.

Six JDI direct boxes in one

Stemming from the industry standard Radial JDI™, the JD6 incorporates six premium Jensen transformers with extra RF filtering to ensure optimal signal transfer with the minimal noise, phase shift, or distortion. These are also able to withstand extreme signal levels, which makes the JD6 particularly effective when managing high-output active devices such as digital pianos that will often overload most direct boxes or preamps. Each JD6 channel is equipped with a rear-mounted ¼" instrument input and thru-put for the artist's amp plus a balanced XLR output to feed the mixing desk, while Channels 1 and 2 include front panel connectors that switch the input as soon as a cable is inserted for improved efficiency in the studio.
