The PCIe DAB+/DAB radio capture card offers advanced capabilities for receiving and decoding DAB+/DAB ensembles. It can handle up to four ensembles simultaneously, converting each audio service into a virtual Windows audio capture device. This feature enables seamless integration with multi-channel recording or monitoring software. In addition to audio services, the card supports various broadcast data services, such as DLS text, MOT slideshows, and full information from the fast information channel (FIC), accessible through a simple application programming interface. Equipped to handle both legacy DAB MP2 audio coding and the newer HE-AAC v2 encoding used in DAB+ broadcasts, the card ensures compatibility with a wide range of broadcasts. Users can utilize any standard wave input device recording application to record audio streams from the DAB+ Radcap. Each service is equipped with a recording level and mute control accessible through the device's mixer ports.

Included with the card is a sample monitor application, featuring a control panel for each card and buttons for each audio service. This application allows users to play audio through the default output device while displaying relevant service information, including DLS text and MOT images. The number of ensembles is factory-set but can be expanded in the field through a purchased expansion key. Multiple cards can be installed for simultaneous monitoring or recording of more than four ensembles. For diagnostic purposes, a sample application provides monitoring of DAB+/DAB audio and data, along with ensemble spectrum displays, signal quality indicators, and an uncorrected error counter. Each card panel also displays essential information such as ensemble name and identifier, phase reference correlator level, and signal spectrum.
