Six-word clock BNC outputs that have been reconditioned receive a word clock BNC input signal from the RB-DDA6W-2P word clock distribution amplifier. Reference clocks for digital audio systems are distributed via it. Six female BNC outputs receive audio from its single female BNC input. The main use of the unit is to supply several pieces of equipment that require synchronization from the master TTL word clock source.

By utilizing two power supply units that can be supplied from different main sources, the equipment offers redundancy protection. For the unit to function properly even if one of the supplies fails, it automatically loads shares between the two supplies. The input is connected directly to output 1 if both supplies fail. Two red LEDs that light to show the correct function of each supply are used to display the condition of the two supplies on the front panel. There is a changeover relay to show the status of each supply on the alarm output connector. When the supply is functioning properly, the relay activates to form a typically open contact. Typically, this is closed to signal a power outage.
