The RB-LC3 is a triple output switching unit used to operate external mains indicators, mainly studio status lights for Mic-Live, On-Air, and Rehearsal/Live applications in broadcasting. One of three remote inputs (pulled high, low), a telephone input (ringing, off-hook, or both), or a combination of two inputs (to control two outputs, e.g. for rehearsal/live situations) can all separately control each output. The 12 way DIP switch (four switches for each output, allowing for 16 alternative settings) is used to select the type of control. The rear panel houses all of the connectors. > Zero-cross point drivers are in charge of the three IEC outputs. Upon activation of an output, the A.C. The voltage level at that output will match the voltage at the main input that powers the device. The switched mains outputs can be controlled externally via the 15-way D-type plug connector. Two RJ11-4-type connections are used to link the telephone line input and handset output. Except in cases where the remote Ring Mute control input is asserted, the telephone lines are linked pin to pin from Line to Handset. The ring signal to the Handset is muted in this instance.
