Sonifex RB-VHCMA4 3G/HD/SD-SDI Embedder & De-embedder 4 Channel Analogue I/O

The RB-VHCMA4 integrates a 4-channel analogue de-embedder and a 4-channel analogue embedder into a single 19-inch rack unit. With the ability to selectively de-embed up to 4 channels from any audio group of an SDI video signal, it offers flexible routing options to the analogue outputs. Following de-embedding, the video splits into two independent paths, where audio groups can be selectively passed through or deleted. Subsequently, the unit embeds any of the 4 analogue input channels to available groups within each of the two video paths, which are then sent to the re-clocked SDI outputs. Control over de-embedding and embedding channel routing is facilitated through front panel buttons and indicators, with LED indication for SDI input status and audio group presence.

Remote control functionality is available via Ethernet or serial port connections using the Sonifex SCi software. Equipped with a triple-rate SDI receiver featuring automatic input rate detection and equalization, alongside two re-clocked and individually buffered SDI outputs, it supports a comprehensive range of single-link 3G, SD, and HD standards from NTSC and PAL up to 1080p 60Hz. Each analogue input and output channel boasts independent level control, adjustable from -24dB to +24dB in 0.5dB increments. Full-scale gain settings for analogue outputs, ranging from +12dBu to +24dBu, can be configured via jumpers inside the unit. Similarly, full-scale gain settings for analogue inputs can be set via internal jumpers, with allowable settings also including +12dBu, +18dBu, and +24dBu for FSD. Paralleled balanced and unbalanced connections allow for flexible usage per input or output.
