Radial StageBug SB-2 Passive Compact passive DI for bass & keyboards w/ stereo to mono mix
Small size and big performance
The Radial StageBug SB-2 a compact passive direct box that is professionally designed especially for buffered sources just like electric bass, acoustic guitar and keyboard. It is equipped with a unique stereo-to-mono merge function capable of enhancing the functionality to enable the stereo keyboards to be connected and mixed mono for saving channels in the PA. The Radial StageBug SB-2, based on the testing, is capable to perform exceptionally linear response and low distortion all the way of the desired operating range, proving that size doesn't define the performance! The Radial StageBug SB-2's compact design is capable of providing the mobile musician with a quality direct box that is so reliable upon the most demanding club gigs.
The Radial StageBug SB-2's compact design begins with a ¼" input and thru-put to feed the on-stage amp. This connects to the custom made Eclipse ET-DB3 transformer which is capable of performing the impedance matching and balances the signal. By using an extra high output instruments, a -15dB pad can be used and inserted into the signal path. This makes the Radial StageBug SB-2 to be used alongside active basses and digital pianos that tend to overload, sometimes, the input side of the interface. An innovative stereo-to-mono merge function is designed for providing a convenient way for connecting a stereo keyboards and computers even without the need of resetting t he source for mono operation, with that a lot of time and input channels on the PA can be save. The Radial StageBug SB-2 output comes with an XLR wired to the AES standard with pin-2 hot. The Radial StageBug SB-2 once it is connected is capable of delivering a smooth warm sound reminiscent of older vintage gear. The Eclipse ET-DB3 transformer is so magical in its ability for handling the extreme signal levels with a natural compression that's so feels so great to the ears. The transformer also capable and giving a big help in eliminating hum and buzz caused by ground loops by isolating the input from the output. This is augmented with a ground lift switch that lifts pin-1 on the XLR for quiet, professional results.
