Audient ID14 2 Channel Usb2 Interface And Monitoring

The Audient iD14 is high-performance 10x4 USB audio interface that is professionally designed for simplifying the recording process and delivering the audio performance of a large-format console in a compact, at the same time, and elegant desktop package, that makes it ideal for musicians, producers, voiceover artists, and more.

The iD14 is capable of providing a pair of Audient Class-A console mic preamps, 24-bit / 96 kHz Burr-Brown AD/DA converters, console-style monitor control, and the revolutionary ScrollControl, which is capable to be used to control anything over which your mouse pointer hovers. Additionally, it comes featuring a JFET DI instrument input, a TOSLINK optical port for digital input expansion, and independent speaker and headphone outputs.

The iD14 is capable to be powered by using the USB when phantom power is not needed. It comes including a 12 VDC power supply to enable use of 48V phantom power.

Microphone Preamps

The iD14 incorporates a Class-A microphone design developed by legend David Dearden and optimized over 20 years of refinement. It features a discrete, high-grade opamp design that delivers low noise, low distortion, and high common mode rejection at all gain levels.

Analog I/O

The analog I/O includes two XLR-1/4" combo mic/line inputs and a harmonically rich JFET DI input, which is designed to replicate the input stage of a classic valve amplifier—plug your guitar, bass, keyboard, or drum machine straight in and start recording instantly.

With balanced 1/4" stereo speaker outputs and a 1/4" headphone output, you can conveniently monitor through your favorite headphones and active monitors.

Digital Expansion

The iD14's TOSLINK optical input can accept ADAT or S/PDIF digital signals, allowing up to eight additional inputs over a single digital cable. Expand your recording setup with an ADAT-equipped 8-channel mic pre such as the ASP880 (available separately).

ScrollControl

With a touch of a button, the iD14's volume encoder becomes a virtual scroll wheel that allows you to adjust DAW hosts, plug-in parameters, iD14's mixer app, and even scroll through your iTunes library. Wherever your mouse pointer hovers, the iD knob can scroll to control.

When not using the virtual scroll wheel, the iD button can be assigned to control the unit's monitoring features such as dim, polarity reverse, mono sum, talkback, and more.

Console-Style Monitor Controller

Take advantage of the onboard console-style monitor control functions including mono sum, polarity, dim, cut, talkback, and cue-mix monitoring.

Software Mixer

Whether you're creating low-latency cue mixes or utilizing the flexible monitor control, the iD14 tightly integrates the hardware and software to make the recording process easy.

Talkback

New dedicated talkback technology enables you to utilize any audio source connected to your computer (e.g. your computer's built-in mic or a USB microphone) as your talkback mic, freeing up valuable mic pres while offering an effective talkback solution no matter where you are.

Durability

Thanks to all-metal construction, hand-finished aluminum knobs, and high-grade component selection, the iD14 can stand up to countless late nights in the studio and days on the road.
