The Desono DP8 Pendant Loudspeaker is a high-performance 8-inch pendant speaker engineered for open architecture environments and commercial spaces where a stylish suspended loudspeaker is preferred. Designed as the larger, more powerful counterpart to the DP6, it delivers higher power handling, increased sensitivity, and rich, natural sound reproduction, making it ideal for applications requiring greater output and wider coverage. Built for both speech reinforcement and high-quality music playback, the DP8 features an integrated 70V/100V autoformer with support for 8-ohm low-impedance operation, providing the flexibility to integrate into a wide range of commercial audio systems. Its consistent acoustic voicing allows it to be seamlessly combined with other Desono C SERIES and D SERIES ceiling and surface-mount loudspeakers, ensuring uniform sound quality throughout every listening zone.

At the heart of the DP8 is a true coaxial driver design with separate magnets for the low-frequency and high-frequency drivers. This advanced configuration reduces distortion while delivering industry-leading sensitivity, enabling 3 dB to 6 dB higher output while requiring up to half the amplifier power of comparable loudspeakers. Installation is simple and efficient thanks to the easy-access front-mounted selector switch, allowing quick selection between 8-ohm and 70V/100V operation before installation is complete. An integrated rear cover conceals all wiring and suspension hardware, creating a clean, professional finish that complements modern commercial interiors while maintaining a streamlined appearance.
