The BirdDog BDFLEXBP Flex 4K BACKPACK HDMI Encoder is professionally designed as an ultracompact NDI interface for HDMI video sources. You can connect your onboard camera, monitor, or other video source, and you can already have it available instantly on your NDI-enabled network. The BirdDog BACKPACK is capable of supporting up to UHD 4K30 and 1080p60 resolution video.

The versatile BACKPACK is possible to be powered with the use of a Sony L-Series-type battery, PoE, or a separately available 12V power supply. A 15W DC output port is created for enabling you for powering the select monitors and cameras from your BACKPACK power source. Tally information is also made displayed for both the talent and the operator and passed through to compatible equipment. With this you can connect a separately available cable to the 2.5mm RS232 port for pass-through control of non-NDI PTZ cameras. Additional features come including an adaptive bitrate, a cooling thermal design, a 3.5mm audio input, and a 3.5mm headphone output.
