All-Weather Compact 2-Way Coaxial Loudspeaker with 8" LF

The JBL AWC82 is full-range, weather-resistant loudspeaker system ideal for music-fill and speech large areas. The speaker is comprised of a 1" high frequency compression driver and a high-power coaxial 8" low frequency driver and offers a consistent 120° broadband pattern control. The co-axial design is utilizing a tapered pole-piece design and transitions to the cone of the low frequency driver as a large diameter pattern control horn for the high frequencies, eliminating high-frequency beaming and extending pattern control to the lowest possible frequencies. The JBL AWC82 is equipped with a low frequency cone is kevlar-reinforced and features a high temperature voice coil, a well-damped surround for smooth frequency responsea well-damped surround for smooth frequency response and a reduced distortion design through saturated-gap magnet geometry. The high frequency compression driver has fluid-cooling capabilities and high temperature polymer diaphragm for high output levels with low distortion. The system is equipped with a 200W 70V/100V multi-tap transformer with connection made through an outdoor-rated terminal in a recessed terminal cup.
