The rugged cardioid instrument microphone that is specially designed to handle the high sound pressure levels of drums, percussion, woodwind, and brass instruments without the distortion in the only Sennheiser e 604. This Sennheiser e 604 can captures frequencies between 40 Hz and 18 kHz, doing so even in pressure levels that excess of 160 dB without nasty distortion.

Also the Sennheiser e 604 features a dynamic transducer, which does not require phantom power and the cardioid polar pattern of the Sennheiser e 604 is effective in minimizing pickup and feedback at the off-axis sections of the capsule. There is also an integral stand mount screws that directly onto mic stands, but the included clip of the microphone attaches the mic to the rim of a drim or the bell of saxophones.

The three Sennheiser e 604 microphones are bundled together for your convenience. With these three mics, you could capture the snare, rack tom, and floor tom of a drumset but another usage could be three different horns within a horn section.
