Shure has designed the GLXD2 Handheld Transmitter with SM56 Microphone Element to work with GLX-D series digital wireless systems. GLXD2/SM56 is operated on Shure's Z2 frequency band between 2400 and 2483.5 MHz on a 2.4 GHz ISM wireless band. This transmitter provides up to a 200' range of operation and featured the Shure's LINKFREQ automatic frequency management that permits it to link automatically to a GLX-D compatible transmitter without the need to perform any other additional setup. The rechargeable battery included in GLXD2/SM56 can provide 16 hours of performance time per charge. Its battery can be recharged with the integrated charger in the GLXD4 wireless or USB charger cable. Upto 1.5 hours of performance time can be provided with a 15-minute charge.
