The Turbosound TCS218B-AN is perfectly suited for a broad variety of fixed installation and portable PA applications, this  Turbosound TCS218B-AN feature its 6,000 Watt dual 18" front-loaded, powered subwoofer with ULTRANET digital networking capability. Also, the Turbosound TCS218B-AN is designed to work individually without a controller or additional amplification, and provides optimal low frequency (LF) reinforcement when used in concert with all TCS Series loudspeakers. The enclosure of this Turbosound TCS218B-AN features a bass-reflex port design with 2 high-power, double-suspension 18" LF drivers, using a specialized voice coil that's wound on both the inside and outside of the coil former which offers higher magnetic density, better heat dissipation, higher power-handling capacity, and enhanced efficiency.

The Turbosound TCS218B-AN unit's output power is produced by means of an efficient and lightweight KLARK TEKNIK 6,000-Watt Class-D power amplifier. Plus, a sophisticated, but easy-to-use KLARK TEKNIK Digital Signal Processor (DSP) provides dynamic EQ for impressive full-range response at low volume levels, as well as transparent limiting for clarity at high output levels – and long-term reliability. On the amplifier module's rear panel of the Turbosound TCS218B-AN, there is a user interface's LCD display and a single rotary encoder that gives intuitive access to array position and user EQ, control, and signal routing features. Input comes via a combination balanced XLR/jack input, and an XLR output is provided for daisy-chaining more active loudspeakers or for use with another powered subwoofer. Two locking etherCON® connectors supply ULTRANET connectivity. This functionality offers up to 16 independent channels of 24-bit digital audio and control data, transmitted over a single CAT5 cable between compatible digital devices – including mixers, I/O stage boxes, powered loudspeakers and personal monitoring systems. This simplified cable routing and ease of setup translate directly into significant time savings during installation. The cabinet of this Turbosound TCS218B-AN is built from ¾" (18mm) birch plywood, is finished in a highly-durable, semi-matte black paint, and includes a rugged powder-coated perforated steel-mesh grille backed with reticulated foam. Internal M10 threaded rigging points are included and mains power input is provided via a Neutrik powerCON® connector.
