The Turbosound TCS218B-R is perfect for use in a wide range of fixed installations—either indoors or out, this Turbosound TCS218B-R feature its IP54-rated, weather-resistant 6,400-Watt, front-loaded dual 18" subwoofer system engineered to work in conjunction with TURBOSOUND loudspeaker management systems, providing optimal low frequency (LF) sound reinforcement when used in concert with all other TCS Series loudspeakers. The Turbosound TCS218B-R enclosure features a bass-reflex port design, with 2 high-power, double-suspension 18" LF drivers that employ a specialized voice coil which is wound on both the inside and outside of the coil former, bringing forth higher magnetic density, better heat dissipation, higher power-handling capacity, and enhanced efficiency. It provides fast and accurate transient response for virtually distortion-free operation – even in your most demanding performances. The Turbosound TCS218B-R cabinet is finished in a highly durable semi-matte black paint, is constructed from 3/4" (18mm) birch plywood – and includes a rugged, powder-coated perforated steel-mesh grille that's backed with reticulated foam. In addition, there is an internal M10 threaded rigging points which is provided and connectivity comes in the form of a captive cable tail, which enters the cabinet by means of a sealed cable gland on an aluminium panel.
