The Turbosound TCS218B is designed for a broad range of speech and music sound reinforcement applications, this ATHENS Turbosound TCS218B feature its 6,400-Watt high-performance, dual 18" subwoofer system. Also, this Turbosound TCS218B is specially-designed to work in concert with Turbosound loudspeaker management systems, providing extended front-of-house (FOH) low frequency (LF) performance. The enclosure of this Turbosound TCS218B features a bass reflex port design, and comes equipped with 2 high-power, double-suspension 18" LF drivers that have a specialized voice coil whic is wound on both the inside and outside of the coil former, to offer higher magnetic density, heat dissipation, higher power-handling capacity, and enhanced efficiency. It can delivers a quick and accurate transient response for virtually distortion-free operation, even in the most demanding performances. The cabinet of this Turbosound TCS218B is built from ¾" (18mm) birch plywood, and is finished in a durable semi-matte black paint. It also includes a rugged powder-coated, perforated steel-mesh grille backed with reticulated foam. Internal M10 threaded rigging points are provided, and the rear panel connector plate carries Neutrik speakON® NL4 as well as barrier strip connectors for input and link connections to additional enclosures.
