The DPA 4080 CORE+ Miniature Cardioid Lavalier Microphone is designed for wireless systems used in live events, journalism, broadcasting, and professional presentations. Its electret-condenser capsule delivers crisp, clear, and intelligible speech, while its rugged yet discreet design makes it suitable for demanding live-stage environments. Powered by DPA’s CORE+ technology, the 4080 offers an increased dynamic range, reduced distortion, and low self-noise for excellent speech reproduction. Designed for chest placement, it features a built-in 4 dB presence boost in the 4–6 kHz range to enhance vocal clarity. The cardioid polar pattern focuses on sound from the front while reducing pickup from the sides, helping minimize unwanted background noise. It is ideal for forward-facing presenters, broadcasters, and on-camera talent. Its directional design also helps reduce feedback when used with stage monitors and PA systems. The microphone operates on 5–10V plug-in power supplied by a compatible wireless transmitter.
