Streaming any of the 8 digital AES3 stereo inputs or 16 AoIP (Audio over Internet Protocol) digital input channels to any of the 8 digital AES3 outputs or 64 AoiP (Audio over Internet Protocol) streaming channels is possible with the web-enabled Sonifex AVN-PD8D mix engine. The device lets you apply a high-pass filter to all inputs and outputs and adjust the signal gain at the input, mix point, or output. This version has D-sub connectors for the AES3 digital inputs and outputs in addition to a color metering display. The AVN-PD8D may handle AES67-enabled Dante networks because it supports the RAVENNA and AES67 protocols. Avahi/Bonjour and SAP are used to find AoIP input streams and advertise output streams. The flexible design allows the portal to be used in a variety of applications including generating stereo clean feeds, sending IFB streams to connected belt packs, 8-output zone mixing, and distributing mixes to headphone monitoring stations.
