Sonifex RB-MA1 Single Microphone Amplifer
To drive lengthy lines from microphones to mix equipment or to convert mic-level signals to line level, the RB-MA1 is composed of a low-noise microphone pre-amplifier. On the back panel are the controls and connections. The microphone input is electronically balanced and of the XLR-3 variety. Both dynamic and powered microphones can be used by adjusting the gain of the input via a recessed pre-set potentiometer. The line output is electronically balanced and of the XLR-3 type. You can supply both balanced and unbalanced equipment by wiring it unbalanced by grounding the non-phase signal. A switch is present to operate a high pass filter, which has a low frequency roll-off at 125Hz, and to supply the attached microphone with phantom power at +48V.
