Two separate low-noise microphone pre-amplifiers make up the RB-MA2, which is used to drive lengthy lines from microphones to processing equipment or to convert mic level signals to line level. The rear panel houses all of the controls and connectors. The microphone inputs are electronically balanced and of the XLR-3 type. A recessed pre-set potentiometer allows you to separately control the input gain for each input, enabling you to use powered and dynamic microphones. It is possible to feed both balanced and unbalanced equipment through the electronically balanced XLR-3 line outputs, which can also be wired unbalanced by grounding the non-phase signal. Independent switches are provided for each channel to operate a high pass filter (which rolls off low frequency at 125 Hz) and supply phantom power (+48 V) to the attached microphones.
