Pearl Microphone Labs ELM-C Cardioid Linear Condenser Incl. Shockmount 1930 and Wood Box

The Pearl Microphone Lab ELM-C is a professionally designed Cardioid Linear Condenser Microphone. It's created as an easy shape capable to produce but it comes along with one significant disadvantage a primary resonance frequency. That's the reason why so many microphones come along with unnatural boost in the 5-10 kHz region. Pearl's rectangular capsule features almost no resonances at all, a fact that is actually pleases many audio engineers. Pearl has created rectangular capsules for many years now, but never before with such an extreme (7:1) length/width ratio.

The resulting polar pattern is that of a cardioid in the horizontal plane and at the same time it vastly capable of reducing the high frequencies in the vertical axis. This is very useful during the time of isolating a sound source from, say, floor and ceiling reflections. Pearl ELM-C is possible to be used MS stereo setup (in conjunction that comes along with a figure-of-eight microphone, such as the Pearl ELM-B) or during the time it is used in a pair for XY stereo use. The ELM-C comes finished in piano black ED lacquer that comes along with a yellow logo, ring and engraved model number.
