The FP 10000Q from the FP+ Series stands out as a four-channel powerhouse, leveraging LAB GRUPPEN’s proprietary Class TD® output stage. This innovative design marries the efficiency of Class D amplifiers with the sonic fidelity of trusted Class B models. Complementing this technology is the Regulated Switch Mode Power Supply (R.SMPS™), a feature that not only enhances efficiency but also stabilizes output rail voltages, even amid substantial mains voltage fluctuations. The amplifier's circuit layout has been meticulously refined to optimize the synergy between R.SMPS and Class TD, resulting in the remarkable power density exhibited by the FP 10000Q.

Network Control

The FP 10000Q comes equipped with a NomadLink® network interface as a standard feature. When combined with the DeviceControl PC software, NomadLink facilitates the monitoring of essential amplifier parameters and enables remote control over functions such as power on/off, channel mutes, and channel solo operations. However, it's important to note that utilizing NomadLink requires the NLB 60E NomadLink Bridge & Network Controller, which is an additional component and must be acquired separately for its operation.

Proven Ergonomics

The FP 10000Q offers a comprehensive front-panel display that allows users to view all key performance parameters in real-time. This display is designed to provide the most complete and practical indication available in the market today. Using bright, color-coded LEDs, it offers clear status indications for all control activations, warnings, and faults without requiring navigation through menus. This setup makes it easy to identify conditions like blown drivers, shorted lines, or over-temperature channels promptly, eliminating the need to interpret vague or generic "trouble lights" and saving valuable time during troubleshooting.

The FP 10000Q's rear panel offers a comprehensive array of input and output connections, alongside RJ45 in and out for NomadLink® control and monitoring. Through the DIP-switch matrix, you can swiftly assign either a hard or soft attack to the limiter functions, adjust the overall gain to seven different levels, bridge any pair of channels, and optimize the VPL (Voltage Peak Limiter) for optimal output characteristics with the connected load. These adjustments can be made within seconds while the amplifier remains mounted in the rack, providing convenience and flexibility in tailoring the amplifier's performance to specific needs.

Under the Hood

The FP+ Series amplifiers from LAB GRUPPEN leverage advanced proprietary technologies, notably the regulated switch-mode power supply (R.SMPS™) and the patented Class TD™ output stage. This combination enhances power output within a more compact package, preserving LAB GRUPPEN’s renowned reputation for delivering exceptional sonic performance. Efficient and uniform cooling is ensured through the implementation of the Intercooler®, utilizing numerous small copper cooling fins to increase the heat sink's exposure to cooling airflow. Two variable-speed fans respond to temperature sensors, facilitating airflow over the Intercooler fins in a front-to-rear direction. All output devices are positioned transversely to the airflow, ensuring uniform cooling effects. By avoiding "end-of-tunnel" output transistors, which might be subject to greater warming and potentially premature failure, this design enhances the amplifier's reliability and longevity.
