CEDAR Studio's Adaptive Limiter sets itself apart from traditional limiters or multi-band devices by utilizing a unique and remarkably transparent algorithm developed by CEDAR. Offering both peak and oversampling modes, it calculates a dynamically changing EQ profile, maintaining input integrity while constraining the output amplitude. The attenuation profile is controlled in two aspects: its temporal variation and frequency-to-frequency variation across the spectrum. This allows for crafting diverse responses with just three parameters. Responding to valuable customer feedback, we have further improved the algorithm, enabling even more effective limiting while preserving the original audio's integrity. Evolving beyond a mere limiter, it now serves as an incredibly flexible maximizer, capable of pushing audio boundaries while maintaining a natural quality not achievable with conventional limiters and maximizers. It has advanced resampling and noise-shaping capabilities, it proves ideal for mixing, final mastering, and various creative duties.
