A 1U rack-mount quad stereo unit called the RB-UL4 is used to connect unbalanced home or semi-professional equipment to balanced professional line levels. The rear panel houses all of the connectors. The impedance of the eight RCA unbalanced inputs is 10kΩ and is routed to eight balanced XLR-3 outputs with an output impedance of less than 50Ω. Pre-set potentiometers that are accessible through the back can be used to independently adjust the output gain for the left and right channels.
